Conservative Principles and Same Sex Marriage
The conservative position is that people who have sex ought to be married. Gays and lesbians have sex. Therefore gays and lesbians ought to be married.

Hey, Hellmut. I'm a Mormon, heterosexual, married, 3 kids, active in the church, and I agree the LDS Church and others are barking up the wrong tree in their strident opposition to gay rights.

The conservative position is that what is "traditional" and "natural" is right. What is "natural" is what God has created. Well, God has traditionally created people who are gay, so that is natural.
